Easter is the best time to visit Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. Far from the heat of summer, the temperature is mild and there are fewer tourists.

For each of the four Fridays in Lent you can enjoy the special Easter market in honor of the traditional Festa del Crocifisso.

This is a centuries-old celebration of the Crucifix and hundreds of local producers set up stalls in the city center offering local crafts, products from Salerno and the wider province of Campania.

But Easter is also a wonderful time to explore the Amalfi Coast, Ravello, Positano, and Capri, all of which have their own celebrations including Good Friday processions and traditional markets.
